CrewlixAI is a maritime-focused platform that aggregates industry news, connects seafarers with employers, allows companies to publish job opportunities, enables educational institutions to showcase maritime courses, and provides advertising services.

The purposes above describe how different categories of information are used to provide specific platform functionality. Google Calendar and Google Workspace data obtained through connected calendar services is used solely for calendar and interview scheduling functionality as described in Section 4 below, and is not used to train, develop, or improve generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.

3. Candidate-Job AI Matching

CrewlixAI uses AI/ML technologies to help match candidates with job opportunities. When candidates create professional profiles, information such as professional experience, employment history, certifications, qualifications, resume/CV content, and other profile details may be processed to generate vector embeddings.

When a company publishes a job, job posting information may also be processed to generate vector embeddings. These candidate and job embeddings are compared using vector similarity and distance calculations to determine the relevance between candidates and job opportunities and may produce a matching score or percentage.

Embedding Model: CrewlixAI uses the open-source BAAI/bge-small-en-v1.5 embedding model, operated within CrewlixAI's infrastructure, to generate vector embeddings from candidate professional profiles and job postings. These embeddings are used solely for candidate-job similarity and matching functionality. Candidate or job data is not used to train or improve the underlying embedding model.

Google Workspace data, including Google Calendar data, is not provided to or used as input by the embedding model and is not used for candidate-job matching.

Important clarifications regarding this processing:

• This processing is used to provide candidate-job matching functionality on the Platform.
• This process is not model training. Candidate and job data are not used to train generalized AI models.
• Google Workspace and Google Calendar data is not used to train, develop, or improve generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.

4. Google Calendar and Google Workspace Data

When a company chooses to connect its Google Calendar account, CrewlixAI may request access to Google Calendar through the Google Calendar API. This integration is optional and is used exclusively to provide calendar and interview scheduling functionality requested by the user.

Google Calendar data is used solely to support calendar-related functionality, including:

• Creating interview events
• Updating interview events
• Deleting interview events
• Retrieving calendar and event information where required by scheduling functionality
• Scheduling interviews with candidates
• Adding interview participants and attendees
• Supporting Google Calendar and Google Meet interview scheduling where applicable

Google Calendar and Google Workspace data is completely separate from the AI/ML workflows described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. Specifically:

• Google Calendar data is not used to train generalized AI/ML models.
• Google Calendar data is not used to develop generalized AI/ML models.
• Google Calendar data is not used to improve generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.
• Google Calendar data is not used as input for candidate or job embeddings.
• Google Calendar data is not used for candidate-job matching.
• Google Calendar data is not used for news summarization.
• Google Calendar data is not used for advertising.
• Google Calendar data is not sold.
• Google Calendar data is not transferred to third-party AI/ML providers for the purpose of training, developing, or improving generalized AI/ML models.

The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Users can revoke Google Calendar access through Google account permissions or by disconnecting Google Calendar within the Platform.

5. News Aggregation and AI-Assisted Summarization

CrewlixAI aggregates publicly available maritime and industry-related news from lawful sources.

CrewlixAI may use AI-assisted technologies to generate concise summaries of publicly available news articles. For aggregated content, we provide summaries generated through these AI-assisted technologies. This news summarization functionality is separate from Google Workspace and Google Calendar data. Google Calendar and Google Workspace data is not used as input for this news summarization functionality, and Google Workspace data is not used to train or improve generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models through this functionality.

Original articles remain the intellectual property of their respective publishers. We provide attribution and source references whenever applicable, and users are encouraged to visit original sources for complete content.

If a publisher believes content has been used improperly, they may contact us for review and prompt resolution.

6. Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

• Employers when applicants submit job applications
• Educational institutions when users express interest in courses
• Service providers assisting in platform operations
• Legal authorities when required by law
• Business successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Google Calendar and Google Workspace data obtained through Google Workspace APIs is not sold and is not shared with advertisers or third-party AI/ML providers for the purpose of training, developing, or improving generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

CrewlixAI may use third-party service providers necessary to operate specific platform functionality, including infrastructure, authentication, analytics, communications, AI-assisted functionality, advertising, or other operational services where applicable.

The Platform may also contain links to third-party websites, job listings, educational institutions, advertisers, and news sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

Google Calendar data obtained through Google Workspace APIs is not transferred to third-party AI providers for the purpose of training, developing, or improving generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.

8. Advertising

CrewlixAI provides advertising placements on its platform, including news and community areas. Companies may purchase advertising placements to display advertisements on the Platform.

Advertising on the Platform is separate from the Google Calendar integration. Advertising customers do not receive Google Calendar or Google Workspace data. Google Calendar data is not used to create advertising profiles or to target advertisements.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for providing platform services, maintaining user accounts, legal compliance, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

Subject to applicable laws, users may:
